Ooh look here Doris! them there Royal Mail can't be the utter c***s we thought they were. It says here they want the posties to look in on old dears to see that they're all right. We'll isn't that nice of them to resurrect an old idea that nothing came of when they first mentioned it just when they looked like bonus chasing showers of sh1t? I wonder when the posties will find the time what with them delivering all those parcels, collecting limitless parcels, emptying post boxes, taking photos etc. Probably why they asked customers not to delay posties with idle chit chat when having parcels collected.
Well I'll certainly stop wiping my arse on newspapers with RM management faces on them, it doesnt seem right now.

Assuming this has genuinely come from Simon and isn’t just The Times rehashing an old article then it just confirms Si and co are simply trying to wind us up, knowing few of their ideas will actually work or come to fruition. Simply put, it makes it easier to make us submit to a low pay rise and a slight change in our T+Cs. I expect they will be looking through more unworkable old ideas just to get us more wound up.

It’s a bit like when your dad threatened to cancel the family holiday and drive home if you didn’t behave!

If I was 87 with an arthritic hip and screwed knees and some postie got me up out of my chair to hobble to the door in excruciating pain just to ask if I was okay I would probably start throwing used adult nappies at him.

Elsie's son Tony doesn't have to bother popping over to see his mum in his Audi once a month 'cos the postie will do that for him.

I can't claim overtime these days, I'm told to cut off and bring the mail back. If I became a community care officer for the elderly, half the houses on the estate wouldn't get any mail that day.
