Also the cost of living issues rising inflation, petrol prices, food prices, energy prices etc. I feel many posties have felt safe and reassured that working for RM has been a type of comfort blanket. Now to see what the hierarchy want to do to that safety net with the proposed T&C changes I’m heartbroken.

You're not alone. I have heard young fit hard working posties who have only been with us a few years saying that they don't want to work for Royal Mail anymore due to what we have been through these last two years and then when things get back to normality after covid they come out with a shitty pay offer and crazy proposals.

Those sat in the ivory towers haven't got a clue what the first lockdown was like when nobody knew about covid. When we were paranoind about touching gates, paranoid about touching parcels and letters, paranoid about touching our own food we were about to eat and was there any sanitizer back then. Was there f**k.

But still we ploughed on and did our bit, whilst the nation slowly went eshopping crazy.

And still we ploughed on working our socks off and it got busier and busier and busier.

You forgot about the part when the CWU wanted us to work through the pandemic delivering essential supplies and how they pushed us as key workers which were soon forgotten about just like the rest of the key workers except for NHS staff who get tickets for music gigs.
