They will bring all these changes in at the end of the 4 week dispute resolution process via executive action is my guess. The fact Terry brought this up in his last q and a video shows he knows this is a strong possibility too. Rm probably already have their lawyers on the case to stop any strike action we might try just like last time, I’m sure the Cwu will give them plenty of silly reasons to block industrial action. Hate to sound so negative but I think we are screwed.
My gut feeling is that the axing of the use of planes with the resulting much later start/finish times for everyone is one they might use executive action, as it'll be just about impossible to reverse
Yep I think you could be right, easy one to sell to the public aswell as they can pretend to be all thoughtful looking out for the planet. When really it’s about money as always.

The movement away from using air transport can only happen following a change in the USO otherwise there's no way they can maintain a first class service or complete delivery inside the timeframe allowed by the USO.

what are the proposed later finish times.... do they take us into school traffic times / rush hour?

you can lose 10 to 20 minutes being stuck in traffic.

FT in DOs would probably be 09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00 if RM did do away with using planes

You have absolutely no evidence to back that up.
You're just guessing.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out that if RM did away with using planes it'll take longer to reach the inward MC, therefore get processed later and go out to the DOs later :cuppa

No idea what the proposed times would be but our finish time is only 10 minutes before local schools chucking out time so will definitely run into school traffic, I suspect there'll be a lot of posties nationally who do the school pickup being forced to make different arrangements.

Later times are meant to be taking the LATS on core delivery so more like a 1pm start time so it can all hook up.

There's some absolute shite spouted on here.

It would be wise to remember that unfounded rumours cause unnecessary anxiety and stress for many people at a time when people have enough to worry about.

If you're just going to make s**t up and post it on here with absolutely nothing to back it up we do have a random thread that might be better suited.

That won't happen. What about all the businesses that rely on us delivering in morning, you just think they'll be happy getting mail at 2 or 3 in afternoon.

Thats why there shouldn't be a deal at all a straight up rise breaks the momentum and shows that it won't be tolerated especially when they've made profit.
