Our CSSs had a software update that includes the DTS stuff, even though we don't and never will do the DTS

Rubbish . Just like every other day . Strange pains in my leg which seems to be getting worse . Tired all the time . Now been told we have to take pictures of each non signed tracked adding on even more time I don’t have on duty . After I finish typing this I’m looking for a new job . Never been so fed up . 20 plus years service and it’s slave labour these days .

Brutal day, early start to sort election poll cards then delivered to every single house on my round.
37,000 + steps on my Fitbit when I finally got home at about 5pm. On the plus side 0 d2ds left to deliver because they got blitzed also.

Told by DOM that all had to be delivered on the day they arrived at delivery office, elections are not for ages yet so another ridiculous managerial decision but am done moaning about it. Just get on with it these days.

Sounds like a case of the DOM not knowing what the hell he's on about, fancy that.RICARD020191962 wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022, 20:37Told by DOM that all had to be delivered on the day they arrived at delivery office, elections are not for ages yet so another ridiculous managerial decision but am done moaning about it. Every time we get a mass mail shot, be it voting cards or council tax bills, we're allows told we can deliver them over two, or three, days. "Just take them where you're going" is the cry. And if you've got mail for everyone then used your common sense.
These Idiot Managers have no idea, we don't necessarily have to work harder but we can work smarter. A decision like that helps noone and simply stresses the Postie out.

If it's machinable then it should be in with your sequenced. I'm sure that if government and RM got together they could redesign the poll cards to make them machineableDorset Plodder wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 11:10Sounds like a case of the DOM not knowing what the hell he's on about, fancy that.RICARD020191962 wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022, 20:37Told by DOM that all had to be delivered on the day they arrived at delivery office, elections are not for ages yet so another ridiculous managerial decision but am done moaning about it. Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Must be down to individual councils if they use RM or their own staff. Just imagine if DTS had been used, you'd been hammered with them on day 5, when they'd all have to go out, no matter whatwallan wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 17:26Just had mine delivered by Council EmployeSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50If it's machinable then it should be in with your sequenced. These Council Tax bills are coming in with the Mech SP, which at least makes then easier to throw off.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50If it's machinable then it should be in with your sequenced. The system was never designed (Ha) to account for a Postie delivering to every single door on a daily basis. It was always assumed that there'd be addresses with no mail. I believe it was designed to be delivering 80%?
If you've got an idiot DOM that insists you deliver them all on the same day .... it's going to be a long day.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
In areas where the DTS system is used, most of them will get held back for the maximum of 5 days, then you'll get hit with them all in one goDorset Plodder wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 10:13These Council Tax bills are coming in with the Mech SP, which at least makes then easier to throw off.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50If it's machinable then it should be in with your sequenced.
