Re: Customer collections 5 items?
No limit now, but RM website says if the customer has more than 20 items they should look at getting a business account.

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
I collected a "medium sized parcel" the other day - 35cm x 35cm x 35cm.

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
I collected 18, 10 from 1 address. And I also left a row of my frame. I have never seen so much mail left in frames in 30+ years.

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
RM website is wrong, it's a 30Kg limit for Tracked

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
Your answer is out of context with the thread, we're talking about a 'medium' parcel here on COLOD - it's 20kg max.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑06 Jan 2022, 20:00RM website is wrong, it's a 30Kg limit for Tracked
We (deliveries) wouldn't collect over 20kg.

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
"Small", "Medium" and "Large" don't really exist, only large and small, small being anything that can fit into a DBF. Don't know what the size limit is for items going through a PSM but I'd imagine that it will eventually become the threshold between small and largeyellowbelly wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 09:34Your answer is out of context with the thread, we're talking about a 'medium' parcel here on COLOD - it's 20kg max.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑06 Jan 2022, 20:00RM website is wrong, it's a 30Kg limit for Tracked

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
The categories for sending items in the UK are:
Letter up to 100g
Large Letter up to 750g
Small Parcel up to 2kg
Medium Parcel up to 20kg
Tube up to 20kg
Large parcel up to 30kg goes with Parcelforce.
International is similar except there is no medium parcel category.
How mail centres deal with them is irrelevant.

The weight limit for Tracked went up from 20Kg to 30Kg back in October 2018 and hasn't been lowered sinceJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 11:08The categories for sending items in the UK are:

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
That may or may not be the case for large customers, but for Joe Public and that means for Parcel/Customer Collections which this thread is about, it's up to 20kg for RM.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 12:19The weight limit for Tracked went up from 20Kg to 30Kg back in October 2018 and hasn't been lowered sinceJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 11:08The categories for sending items in the UK are:

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
Don't think PF will have the capacity so in practice you're liable to get 30Kg ones. PF have been offloading stuff to RM for over a yearJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 12:23That may or may not be the case for large customers, but for Joe Public and that means for Parcel/Customer Collections which this thread is about, it's up to 20kg for RM.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 12:19The weight limit for Tracked went up from 20Kg to 30Kg back in October 2018 and hasn't been lowered sinceJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 11:08The categories for sending items in the UK are:

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
I would hope that customers wanting a collection will automatically get one from the relevant carrier, i.e RM or PF, when they input the weight of their parcel.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 12:40Don't think PF will have the capacity so in practice you're liable to get 30Kg ones. PF may well offload larger/heavier parcels to RM to deliver, but we're not talking about deliveries!

Re: Customer collections 5 items?
I think it'll be down to how much a 30Kg parcel is for PF compared with other couriers. If it's really expensive then I think RM would rather it stay with RM rather than risk losing traffic to other couriersJefferson Starfish wrote: ↑09 Jan 2022, 13:40I would hope that customers wanting a collection will automatically get one from the relevant carrier, i.e RM or PF, when they input the weight of their parcel.![]()
