Oct 21 to Mar 22

Post by *horcrux* »

Does anyone have the dates of the reference periods for October 2021 to March 2022?

I know they follow roughly the months themselves but not exactly and I know there are some 5 week periods in the year too (4 of them i suppose).

Thanks in advance for any information

I’ve switched off part time late shift 25 hours to nights 35 hours for Xmas in our Mail centre and regularly do over 45 hours so always have over 8 hours. But for this P9 period any overtime I’ve done above the 35 is down as scheduled attendance and Sunday scheduled attendance, so does this mean I’m gonna now get sod all even though all the other 5 months are well over 8 hours??

There is info in a thread started by HT Postman on this at: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=102954

This looks to be the relevant bit which seems to state that no overtime in P9 in your circumstances will not disqualify you as long as you get in the minimum 8 hours in the other 5 months. However, the Christmas extra hours won’t count as part of the average calculation which could mean a lower rate than if they had been counted as overtime and not scheduled attendance.

“From the attached Joint Statement, Branches and Representatives will see that there are once again agreed conditions attached to the removal of Period 9, meaning that a failure to meet the regularity threshold due to the alternative pay arrangements during this period will not mean a disqualification from the regularity test. Consequently, if a member qualifies in the remaining monthly periods (7, 8, 10, 11 and 12), any overtime hours paid as normal overtime rate and/or all part-time single rate overtime outside of agreed temporary contract variations are included in the calculation.”

will be late may, it's paid twice a year so add 6 months from last 1
i'd keep a check on o/t worked in case you fail in a period then you can bob in a claim before the date you take leave expires

Don't worry, I think most will now be getting in the minimum 8 hrs every period , now we all know the rules! It's gonna cost em more now we're playing on a level playing field with knowledge of the rules.
