I’ve tried to search the forum for this but can’t find a definitive answer.

When Royal Mail was privatised, how many shares were given to each employee? I’ve seen the number given as 613, 913 and 500.

When Royal Mail was privatised, how many shares were given to each employee? I’ve seen the number given as 613, 913 and 500.

913 was the total amount given free to a ft worker (further shares were added later)
it would vary on the individual but pro rata for pt, but pt also got some added if overtime was worked 12 weeks prior to the share date being announced

The allocation for full timers was:

15th October 2013 - 613
9th April 2014 - 116
5th October 2015 - 103
6th October 2016 - 81

Total - 913
