Special Deliveries are at most 1 day behind at any time, even then its usually caused by delays on the Roads.
and then contact Royal Mail direct. 5 days for a Special Delivery is more than I would expect if everything was okay.
This has me concerned. Sometimes on this site we see this message if there are concerns about the contents. My best advice would be check the Prohibited List https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app ... -customersItem Despatched to Royal Mail site
