Not too bad today. Only brought 2 bundles back and only went an hour over.
Best since the revision.

Hardly any letters.
Hardly any parcels.
2 sets of D2D to prep.
Finished a good hour early.
No managers about in the DO.

Completely s**t day , will be handing my notice in soon , i've had enough.
Double mail and packets / parcels , why is this still happening when my depot has recruited new staff recently ?
Royal Mail is a complete mess of a company at the moment , can't see it ever sorting itself out.

You and me too,I'm counting down the days i plan to be gone in 7 weeks,The place is an absolute joke now staffing is ridiculous on my section today 3 out of 6 deliverys went nowhere for the 3rd day on the trot apart from the ever sacred tracked,The walks were not covered due to A/L that was booked over a year ago!DDDJAM36 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2021, 15:11Completely s**t day , will be handing my notice in soon , i've had enough.

As for today the same crap as most days out late due to lack of staff sorting the never ending packets got so far and pulled the plug on letters finished the tracked and got back 40 mins late just in time to catch the schools traffic all the way home.
I find the job an embarassment now

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
This is a “how was your day” for the last week as yesterday was my last day with Royal Mail! I’ve actually had a really nice week, been on the same duty all week and been able to say goodbye to most of the posties I’ve worked with as well as the managers - I’ve generally had good experiences with pretty much everyone there. A little sad to go as I did enjoy the job but really need a better work-life balance with some big life changes coming up.
Thanks to the admins and members on here for the information/resources and advice you’ve all shared, it’s definitely helped me navigate the tricky waters of being a new starter during a very busy time at the company. And best of luck going into Xmas for all of you on here still with the firm!

Wishing you the best for your future life without royal mail hindering it. Far too many people in tights for my liking.
I thought there was a rehearsal for The Nutcracker.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Great day today . Manager yet to ask anyone if they want to work overtime at pressure. Even though pressure started two years ago. Easily about 12 folk off sick in office. Mail lying undelivered in about 80 percent of frames . Barely recognise anybody in office as so many colleagues have left the company . No plan in place for large packet help as of yet. Just come on this chat after looking for a new job. Can’t wait for another shambolic day tomorrow. Oh and there are no union reps in office either . Not sure if that makes any difference as they are hopeless .
