Mine not on there, though we're only "part" failing (just a few houses delivered), and full failing a few rounds now. 2 weeks ago onwards it was 10-15 each day. Also we were supposed to be on some list because we're poor at everything else. Basically it's a miracle we're doing not as bad as some of these offices listed apparently, though i don't see it staying at this standard, albeit a low standard.

Daily procedure……….
Prep. Pack. Deliver.
Start on time. Take breaks. End on time.
Priority is tracked and specials.
Door to doors piled high (3 weeks worth)
Letters piled high (3 weeks worth)
Literally thousands of none tracked packets put into sacks to be dealt with (some time).
Tonnes is overtime if you want it.
How much for a row? Or..how much to help clear tracked after your hours? Surely they should be throwing money at you!

No more ghosting. Unless you’re the bosses bestie.

I won’t do overtime anymore as they’ve moved my start and finish times. Too late now. Need to get home. Changed my shift All goodwill gone.

Crazy ain't it? The amount of lost time pulling out mail that there is no hope of getting delivered, only to bring it back and have to prep it again the next day.

Is that so they can report a clear office on their conference call?

The amount of fraud, and I don't use that word lightly, that goes on in this business is off the charts. Right from the top with the CEO reporting successful deployment of revisions.

They could have you leave the failed mail to one side in a box and have you focus on the new mail the next day. AFAIK any mail can only be classed as a fail once so any subsequent days it's not classed as a failure

Same as our office on the list.
If everyone who is in is just doing sorting and delivering specials and tracked and boxes and collecting parcels, what is happening to the letters that may have important documents in, hospital Appt. Concert and football tickets etc.
These are piling high and not been delivered for over 3 weeks and its more important to deliver a dog toy , plastic watering can or toilet rolls which are coming through tracked.
They should at least leave one or 2 days a week to at least clear some letters or customers are going to get majorly pissed off and will be converging on the delivery offices and contacting the press.
But dont worry, profits are up for the shareholders. Thats all that matters :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

What would be the point? It has to be delivered at some point. And "in a box"? Can see you aren't on deliveries. Our cut off today was a full delivery(apart from tracked) and 2 loops out of 6 on the other, so roughly 900 houses. about 2 York's of cut off not a tray. Just move it to aside and forget about eh?

By not putting it to one side you're just increasing the amount of delayed mail

No , what you do is take out what you can deliver and leave the rest in. Then deliver what you left the next day. If they say take it all out , of course you have to reprep and deliver that mail before the next days. If we have to reprep a days mail we deliver that and leave the new stuff until the following day. It's only live mail once it's prepped into a frame and doesn't count as a delivery failure, just a workplan failure apparently, that's what we've been told

That will still delay some of the new days mail which will then be classed as a failure, whereas the previous days mail can't be classed as a failure if left. Mail can only be classed as a having failed once

Say what you want but in delivery offices the mail taken out and brought back is put back in for the next day and the new mail gets left if need be. That's why mail gets stood down if it arrives late or is taking too long to sort on ips, leave it on the York's and push it in the corner is what they say

I agree with the point you're trying to make CP. It would be much more "Efficient" to simply leave any mail you're not going to take in the frame, throw of the next days mail and take the bit you left behind (leaving another street if necesary IN THE FRAME). Then as you say there's no need to throw it off back into the frame the next day, wasting yet more time. :hmmmm

The trouble is every DOM craps themselves in case they get a surprise audit when everyones gone out and they get a bollocking for having mail left in the frame. Personally I can't remember ever having an audit. As previously mentioned simply telling a Postie to "Just Take it for a Ride" is blatant Fraud and simply hides the problem instead of solving it. :cuppa
