Customers attempting to visit Exeter city centre's post office today have been greeted with a sign that says it is closed due to staff shortages.

The Post Office has confirmed that the closure is only for today, November 4, and that it will be reopening tomorrow.

Customers have been redirected to the nearest post office in Sidwell Street, located within the Morrisons Local store.

At the city centre post office, a recruitment sign has also been displayed for people to come and work at the branch.

It is advertising for contracts for 16 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours.
