Hope you are alright mate. Sounds like you are currently at an awful DOxPandabear1992x wrote: ↑07 Oct 2021, 10:27for the last three weeks i've been told they're not paying overtime in the morning so come in at normal time.
then when i come in at normal time not even households have been chucked in, so i have to fully prep it all.
then i have to find the hire van which might as well be parked on the moon![]()
end up leaving the office at half 10/11.
yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. the xmas panic buying has started at ours. 1.5 yorkies of drive rounds yesterday. all of it from shops with high street outlets. people are the worst. if you include the packets and flats that also populate the frames on a wednesday, I had about 80 parcels, plus the usual wednesday mail. that was horrible.
every postie around me was celebrating a windfall from Backpay-gate. except for me. I was 20-30 mins short that one month.
then i find out i'm the only one with a massive volume of packets. everyone else is fairly quiet.
everything that could go badly went badly yesterday. it was probably my worst day to be a postie.
got done by 3:45 by leaving a couple of the smaller loops in.
off for a week with stress now.
I applied to transfer to a different office near me, with more hours, more reliable start times. according to the success factors website I have been hired, but the hiring manager is out of the office until this monday coming, so will hear back then.

My car repair is delayed to Monday now cause RM have failed to deliver the part that was supposed to be there at Wednesday. Top service
I informed the garage to not hold their breath and the estimated delivery times are plain rubbish.

If it's a letter that's been through an iLSM or IMP then the scorch mark is probably where it has gotten jammed in the machine

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
