what is also flawed in this is when you are paid short (happens almost every week in our office). you might have worked say only 7 hours overtime in the first 3 weeks of a qualifying month, and on your 4th week work say another 6. but you get your payslip the week after only to realise they havent paid you for last weeks overtime, so you get it a week later. this would then mean you have worked less than the 8 hours for that month when you actually HAVE worked enough hours. but they wont pay it cos they only got you down for 7 hours for the month.

8-10hrs EVERY week without a missed month would equate to roughly between £375-£470 but you said usually double/triple that so doesn't look too far out

*edit, those figures are on a FT overtime rate btw
Cheers. Il give it a thorough look when I’ve got the time. Is this a one off payment because people were mentioning a payment November time too? Haven’t really looked into it all as of yet
10hrs/wk X 8 wks would be about £950.

This does happen, don't give em ideas to make it regular though. Now there's a reason to do it.

I'm not due anything because i fell just under in ONE period per qualifying group?

october '19 to mar '20 i worked in between 10-30 hours overtime every qualifying period, save for one where i worked 5. Disqualified.
october '20 to mar '21 i worked in between 20-40 hours overtime every qualifying period, save for one where i worked 6. Disqualified.

have i missed something?

because that's a steaming pile of shite if i get nothing from that.

Absolutely digusted in this 'deal' the cwu have sorted for us. Between 15-25hrs each month for two of the four periods BUT because of one month having 2wks holiday and four days sick (genuine sick), I miss out on that six month period. Another , again 2weeks AL and 5hr 35min on other two quiet weeks and I again miss out on the full six months which I did 15-26hrs a month. Surely there should be a 'pass' month like the December one for such circumstances? Anyone who does loads of overtime and has 3weeks leave in one month better do loads on the other week. So you get penalised for having 2 weeks AL on the same month. Best split it in future end month/beginning of next.
So now we know why they were saying, just take the packets and deliver every other day through covid.
Anyone else fuming with this bogus 'deal'. ??

Just seen the breakdown on the app. There's going to be A LOT of pissed off people expecting what it says on the tin, because this deal sucks.

Yep, I'm half way to being like you. It sucks. How can actually taking annual leave stop you from getting paid average overtime for..... annual leave??? Explain this one CWU!!

It’s an awful deal, but those who’ve missed out need to do something now - saying the criteria should be XYZ doesn’t change a thing. I can guarantee at no point will RM turn round and say ‘you know what, it is unfair, let’s change it so more of you meet the requirements.’

Get your ET claim in now.

I don't understand how they can apply rules retrospectively. Rules we knew nothing of at the time, are now being applied to the detriment of many hard working posties who perform regular overtime, only to be denied their rightful payments because they were on holiday or sick for ONE month or even three weeks in a four week period.
They probably went off sick because they do so much bloomin docket for the company. Another shining example of how much Royal Mail and the Cwu thinks of it's workers.

Tbh I'm sick of reading about people moaning already.
This could be seen coming by anyone who bothered to read the agreement.
