I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Holiday pay
Yeah, any claim via ACAS needs to be withdrawn by this Friday (8th) 1500hrs, for payment on the 22nd Oct.POSTMAN wrote: ↑06 Oct 2021, 16:09Is it right that they have to cancel the ET as per a letter from the union?
I never received a withdrawal form which originally got sent out from the Union, which needed to be received by RM by Sept 24th, for payment this Friday (8th).
To withdraw your claim, send an email to employmentlawholpay@cwu.org, stating your intent to withdraw, pay number and ACAS reference number.
I sent mine last Friday but haven’t heard anything back and still no withdrawal form! Gods knows when I’ll get my payment….maybe 2022!!

Re: Holiday pay
What would be the qualifying hours (8hours for full time I do half a week) if you have a job share 3 x 8 hour shifts per week surely it should be pro rats as as all my bonuses etc are worked that way
The way I see it it should be about 4hours to qualify
Anyone have an answer
Thanks

Re: Holiday pay
It'll be 8 hours. This deal benefits part timers who work loads of hours on overtime. One lad in my office (25 hour bloke) got near enough 4 grand. Quite right to and it's a nice bonus for any full timers that do overtime regularly as wellvenom wrote: ↑06 Oct 2021, 16:40What would be the qualifying hours (8hours for full time I do half a week) if you have a job share 3 x 8 hour shifts per week surely it should be pro rats as as all my bonuses etc are worked that way

Re: Holiday pay
That’s exactly what I’m saying done 30hours overtime most months over the last year have one month where I did 5 hours on on of the qualifying periods another qualifying period I was on leave for 2weeks went to Spain on holiday and when we were there they changed the rules so I had to isolate for 2 weeks so didn’t go in work so it qualified because of thatcitypostie wrote: ↑06 Oct 2021, 17:19It'll be 8 hours. Should be done on a monthly period in my opinion can of worms created by the union here there will plenty of people who miss out because of leave etc

Re: Holiday pay
Got to say I think it's a joke that holiday periods aren't discounted in some way from the calculations(unless they are?) Because it seems stupid you could miss out on holiday pay because youre taking your holiday entitlement

Re: Holiday pay
i think it's well documented that our union has helped screw it's members over yet again,
we cannot change what we worked prior to the deal being agreed but moving forward it's imperative that every minutes overtime gets booked, even the 5 or 10 minutes you go over and especially if you're due or just had any leave or off sick for a short period,
and to try to put a positive spin on it, maybe people will stop working for free in a morning, all those 30mins a day, and quite a few do this in our office, equates to around £30 per week plus around £120 in extra holiday pay per year should you choose to complete on overtime and not cut off, that's over £1500 a year lost if it's a daily occurrence
but i doubt it many will change

Re: Holiday pay
Checked mine on the app out of interest-i have an ET claim in.
It just states no data available, so they probably haven't bothered calculating the ones with live claims.
The app does say a few reasons why there is no data showing however, and this reason isn't one of them.

I think it’s a joke to because I would have qualified if it wasn’t for me taking leave. If you’ve got an ET claim in then there won’t be a payment and it will show as no data available.
