RMSPS Statement

Anyone received this yet? Most seem to have RMPP. You would have thought a bit of coordination would have been useful......

Last year I think I got the RMSPS statement at the end of September, with the RMPP version a week or two later.

Maybe they've swapped this year?

Got one. Waiting for the one capita runs. This pension lark with royal mail is a joke. Seem to start a new one every few yrs. God knows what I'll get at 60, 65, 67 or whatever the next one is!

I’m in section B but no statement

The exact wording of that link is:

Your latest current value statement from the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme (RMSPS) will be available soon. This year we will be sending current value statements between September and November.
If you are an active joint member, you will receive your statement at the end of September. If you are a deferred joint member or a Section B member, you will receive your statement at the end of October. If you are a Section C member, you will receive your statement at the end of November.

With the definition of a joint member being:

If you were a member of the Royal Mail pension scheme before and after 1 April 2012 then you are known as a ‘joint member’. This means your Royal Mail pension benefits are split over two schemes.
Benefits earned before 1 April 2012 are paid by the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme (RMSPS). Benefits earned after 1 April 2021 are paid by the Royal Mail Pension Plan (RMPP).

As an active joint section C member I'm non the wiser whether I should have got my RMSPS statement at the end of September, in which case it's late. Or whether I'll be getting it at the end of November.

As Capita are useless, I'm assuming it's the latter.

Apparently, according to a post on Workplace, the new NRA67 pension will be part of the same statement as NRA65. I'm not sure I believe that.

Only had one statement from 2012,The years before 2012 no statement.

Hello, am i missing something, 2020 NRA statement, annual pension £5288.29 supplement £996.08 pension increase £1407.70 2021 NRA statement annual pension £5288.29 supplement £996.08 pension increase £1492.54 it also states pension increase amount is £627.99 ?am i correct to assume if i add my annual pension plus pension increase x 20 then divide the total x 4 to work out your lump sum, thanks in advance.

Got to say I am absolutely clueless as to how we are supposed to work out all these multiple figures from 2 different statements to find out how much of a pension we should receive at 60, 65 and 67 let alone lump sums. Surely there must be an easier way for the company to do this for us like they used to.

Just looked at an old statement from 2009.

It saysTotal Final Salary service at 31/3/2009 = 13 years 85 days. Almost 5yrs of that was transferred in from a different pension scheme.

Todays statement section C says total service = 17yrs and 84 days.

Am I missing something here, because even allowing for the new scheme in 2018 and adding another 3 yrs on that only totals 20yrs service when it should be 25.

The final salary scheme closed in 2012 so service will only ever be up until then regardless of how long you stay with the business. Your salary at that point would have also stopped and only accrued the yearly increases too instead of rising with pay rises (although there were some exceptions to that).
