Weather turned rainy later in the day today, but still humid.

We're getting our work in later now. Apparently logistic have had a revision and a resign (don't know if it's everywhere or just some RDCs). If they don't do anything about it, we might need to push our final dispatches back later

I can't wait to get up early and head to work tomorrow morning.
I'm so looking forward to walking into the delivery office ready to face another exciting day ofbullying, arguing, crying, screaming, fighting, sorting, and prepping.
Woohoo!

While flicking through the Courier today I was surprised that there weren't photographs of the hundreds of undelivered parcels, thousands of letters and yorks of failed D2D that are currently sitting in my DO.
Magical.
Incidentally if everyone says "trust on the doorstep" all the time about everything do they think it will become a reality?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Another day, another impossible workload, did what I could during my contract hours and brought some back having told management this might be the case before heading out.
I'm not interested in standard overtime rate when "overtime bandits" effectively get double rate because they do enough regular OT to get extra during annual leave (what an OT deal if the century that is, thanks Terry). It was and still is rather warm out there today too.

Filled the frame with 2 door to doors on Saturday after delivering, arrive this morning to find another 2 boxes of door to doors on the floor waiting to go in that were not there on Saturday. Marvellous

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Horrible day today. Absolutely sh*tty.
The sky was all blue; not a single cloud to be seen. Sun was beaming down, trying to put a tanned smile on my face. Hated it.
A gentle breeze kept me from breaking into a sweat, which annoyed me. Nothing like a good sweat.
Hardly any letters and parcels to deliver, which peed me off because I prefer stress and heavy loads that weigh me down. And an excuse to scream at my bosses. Such a letdown.
Dogs didn't bite - they were all friendly. F**king weirdos.
And the customers had that typical attitude of superficial niceness about them.
"Hello Mister Postie. How are you on this lovely day?," said Missus Smith.
"F**k off!"
"Hey, fella! Any letters for me? Lovely day, isn't it?," asked Mister Jones.
"F**k off to you, too. Prick." I replied.
Worst day I've had as a postie. Didn't even rain. Hate this job.
Update:
And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse after experiencing a sh*tty day, I look out my window here at home and see a bright full moon in the clear, evening sky. Crap! The smug face on that full moon. Bastard!
What a miserable life.

Tuesdays... Less shift time to deliver a greater workload than a post-pandemic Monday and consequently even less achievable.

Colleague next to me this morning arrived to finish prep of two days worth of mail , , it hadn't gone out the day before due to staff shortages - it's been like this for weeks now at my depot , , but nothing happens about staff shortages , , management seem not bothered. The two days worth of mail in the frame was stuffed with important NHS letters , Business letters , birthday cards , magazines etc etc , , apparently quality is key to the customer ? , , and apparently we've all got more balanced work loads now , , our CEO says so.

DOM Support does printout at ours so you can ask how many for following week. You then know if they have all arrived or not and avoid this problem.
