I've never received, and never will receive anything 'useful' from door to door marketing, and in fact refuse to use any such services that advertise in this manner.

I once ran a fake test on here regarding ad blockers, those who were using an ad blocker were the only ones to see a fake ad I put up, it was a mobile phone deal, a really s**t hot good one.

The number of hits it got was criminal, and embarrassing for them.

You are the one who has advised a member of the public (on a public forum) that to avoid receiving D2D material it is sufficient to put a sign on the door.
This is incorrect information.
You are the one who decided to put the caps lock on and shout Bullshit at me when I pointed out your error.
It is now a simple matter for you to request the correct information from the justsayit team.
If you are right, you are right. If you are wrong an admission of your error and an apology for your boorish behaviour wouldn't go amiss.

Simple question: If all it takes to stop D2D is a sign on the door, then why does RM have an official opt out policy?

‘No Leaflet’ signs are not observed by Royal Mail delivery officers. An official process is in place for householders who do not wish to receive this type of material to opt-out of our delivery service.

Leaflet delivery is only stopped at an address if the correct process has been followed as we believe it is important that householders make an informed choice and are aware of the type of items they will no longer receive. This is made clear to householders as part of our opt-out process and it is part of the declaration of understanding made when confirming a household does not wish to receive this type of material.

Hello, I already filled in the opt out form and emailed it to optout(at)royalmail.com in April.

I still keep getting advertising leaflets, and this week received 4 of the same:



Doesn't seem like anything gets investigated. I have a another customer service case / reference made after ringing them today.

It WILL be passed on to the manager.
The problem is at times it does get over looked if it's not the regular postie.

Couple of things, let me know what username you want as it needs to be changed, we are quite sensitive on here.
The other thing, try not to get too upset while receiving leaflets, the whole process means jobs and you never know, you might one day get something really useful through the door.

I would ask you to stop with the attitude. We are not an official Royal Mail site and posties post on here to help on their own time and do so voluntarily.



Perhaps if you had approached us civilly we could have given you more insight and helped explain more but with your reply, you've just alienated yourself.

Also, it's not beyond the impossible that it was a simple error by a new or overworked postie. If not then yes keep complaining as is your right, especially if you have never made a mistake, ever.
