Special delivery envelope

Post by pepevi83 »

Hello,

I bought a special delivery envelope, but I haven't sent it yet.

My question is: when I'm ready to send it, do I need to drop it in a post office so it's scanned or I can just drop it in a post box directly?

Thanks

Post it at a Post office. That way it'll get scanned and it goes separate from ordinary mail.

Personal advice - Do NOT drop it in the Post Box as you'll have no proof of it being sent if it goes missing. When you drop it at the post office it's immediately scanned on collection and then at various points throughout its travels.

You could also drop it a Royal Mail customer service point, but I would do that before midday.
