Re: Police pretending to be postal workers
So you're saying its quite normal for the police to impersonate ( or even use us ) to harass demonstrators? Pretending to be a postie to get through a locked reinforced drug dealers door is one thing ( pretty unusual in itself i expect ) but to me this seems to be taking things a stage further and the reason I flagged it up.

Yeah, it happens all the time. When the police are faced with a gang armed with Mac 10s and Uzis they just grab a couple of part-timers off IPS and in they go.
Apparently.

Re: Police pretending to be postal workers
Is it that hard to believe that the police would knock on a door and say they were the postman rather than "it's a raid so while we take 5 minutes to noisily open this door you might want to flush the gear down the toilet and practice your I'm Spartacus speech"?
They didn't do the whole fancy dress and method acting thing, they just said they were the postman when somebody presumably shouted "who is it? ".

Possibly not, but that's not what they claimed happened-="Woody Guthrie" post_id=938907 time=1617902262 user_id=94855]

She says the disguised officer and at least three other male plain-clothed officers followed her flatmate up the stairs before revealing they were police with a warrant etc etc
Did they? Your version doesn't tally much with hers/theirs.They didn't do the whole fancy dress and method acting thing, they just said they were the postman when somebody presumably shouted "who is it? ".
