Using the info on Page 8 of the RMSPS statement can anyone reconcile their total service info to an end date of 31st March 2008 when the scheme closed?

I can't for either myself or my wife....and the calculations used give us two different dates completely.

Have you factored in any changes to your working hours such as periods spent part time which will be calculated on a pro rata basis, or any industrial action, special leave, etc.

What about the fact that RMSPS relates to service up to 2012, which obviously includes all final salary and the first 4 years of CARE/CSDB.

Looking back at my previous statements and comparing them to the two 2020 versions, the years and days match up exactly.

All my statements from 1990 through to 2008 accrue to give just under 20 years.This service is then static through to 2019 (just under 20 years). On the 2020 statement it changes to just under 24 years. The change is EXACTLY four years and I notice the wording is TOTAL SERVICE on the RMSPS statement rather than the other "final salary service".

This would account for the four years from 2008-2012 in RMSPS but surely they don't apply to the final salary scheme which closed in 2008?

No, those 4 years don't apply to the final salary scheme, they apply to the CSDB scheme!

Your RMPP statement presumably says you have a further 6 years in the CSDB(2012-2018), plus 2 years of DBCBS?

Meaning that on 31st March 2020(statement date), you have a total of just under 32 years, of which just under 20 is final salary, 10 is CSDB and 2 is DBCBS.

There is no distinction between final salary and CSDB on the 2020 RMSPS statement, the figures are shown in NRA60(up to 31/3/10) and NRA65(1/4/10 – 31/3/12) format.
The remainder of your NRA65 benefits are obviously shown on your RMPP statement.
