Re: Glasses
Half the people in my office need glasses
All the missorts I get
Letters and packets in the wrong streets
Walking back and forth - letters for 3 doors back you've just done

Re: Glasses
I think eye test vouchers are only covered if you work on a computer all day and glasses if they are actually needed to use that computer.

Agreed! I get this ALL the time. I just take them back to the office and deliver tomorrow. Not walking back 10 houses

Re: Glasses
If it's mech letters then it might be worth having a chat with whoever deals with A+ at your DO and going through the entries on the A+ for your walk to see if the A+ data is correct

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Glasses
Why not go to a high street opticians for your eye test and prescription, and then buy your glasses online.
I got mine from Glasses Direct and they're excellent and a lot cheaper.

Re: Glasses
Was the optician trying to shift a more expensive pair of frames etc giving you the hope that you wouldn’t have to pay full price because of work by any chance haha

Re: Glasses
Im at 'that age' where the smaller the print its harder to read, but instead of spending loads you can buy cheapie reading glasses for around £2-99 at BHM/BOOTS/TESCOS etc, they are not prescription glasses and some are different magnifications up to x 4, i find the plain x 1 or 1.5 are perfectly adequate, perfect for small print envelopes in fading light, i have loads of old pairs laying around and they are so cheap it doesnt really matter if you break or loose a pair.
