Tax codes for new tax year 2021 - pension

I thought I would come back for a limited appearance and let you know what is happening with my tax and tax codes for the coming tax year 2021-2022, it may or may not help you.
So as I retired part way through the year I was given my tax allowance against RMSPS and a BR (basic rate code) for RMPP.
That meant that once set up I paid no more tax on my RMSPS pension and 20% on my RMPP.
I did think I would have to ring the tax man after the last pension payments for the year and have them spilt my tax codes over the RMSPS and RMPP according to those incomes.
But I just went on line to my personal tax account

It really is a great way of checking this years tax paid and looking ahead.
By logging on I discovered that my tax code for next year has already been sorted and there is no need to contact HRMC to sort my tax codes out.
They have given me codes to cover all my RMSPS pension and it ends with L (standard allowance) and my RMPP code ends with T ("Your tax code includes other calculations to work out your Personal Allowance")
So as long as I don't work again, that's it.
If you carry on working perhaps others can enlighten you as to how they spilt the tax codes.
They may do it automatically as they have mine.
I would guess your main tax free allowance would be against your main income and that they would spilt it, if your main income was below the tax allowance with your RMSPS pension and a BR code with your RMPP.

Did they automatically remove the £120 clothing allowance that is added on for RM employees? Or did you adjust it yourself?

They did it and adjusted my tax code to take it off this year and delete it for next year.

I notice your overall tax allowance for 2021/22(£12,560) will be £10 less than the new rate of the Personal Tax Allowance being introduced from 6th April.

I'm no expert on tax codes and could be wrong, but that presumably explains the T code, and suggests you actually paid £2 less in tax during the current tax year than you should have done. I also assume it won't revert back to a 'normal' code until you've paid that £2 in income tax?

That could be when, or if your RM pension income exceeds the PTA, you get another job or you start receiving your state pension?

HMRC don't seem too keen to chase the likes of Amazon, Facebook, etc for not paying the hideous amounts of tax they seem able to avoid. But they still want a few £'s from the normal working man.

I agree with you on amazon etc. But on this occasion even though your figures add up, I think you are wrong.
As the tax codes they give are out by 1, when they show my tax allowance shown below that in the table.

This one includes my Excess DBCBS - So HMRC had me down for £748 for part year RMPP - but est income did not include DBCBS in these totals, however tax has been paid. So should not matter.
