I'll quote the Idler Book of C**p Jobs , being a Postie is No.7johnnypick wrote:Nothing wrong with Radio 2 mate, best station in the land with the most listeners, have it on most days on the way to work(Alex Lester)and on the way home(Steve Wright)and im only 42norbet colon wrote:-That is a handy one ,used the Apple Shop Regent St a few times when I first went on broadband & got this computer in April . 10 p per minute on 0871 soon adds up to expensive computer lessons . "If the soul-killing , grinding monotony isn't intolerable enough , I have to endure the vapid mind-destroying drones of London Station M**** FM blasting away at me all morning (What's so m**** about M**** FM ? ) The fact they miraculously play the same b****y maudlin ballads every b*****d morning ?)
They should rename the station DIVORCE FM , Elton John's "Sacrifice " , Phil Collins "Against all odds " , Chicago's "If you leave me now " ,Lionel B****y Ritchie's "Three Times A Lady " AAARGH !
Being a Postman now is like living through Groundhog Day and M**** FM is the perfect soundtrack album. Ian Reddie http://www.theidler.co.uk
I hear Radio 1 in the barbers and at about 7-8 am ish sometimes and the loud overgrown student types like Coxey & Moysley etc have always got on my nerves .I think it all started when Harry Enfield & Paul Whitehouse did Smashie & Nicey , the powers to be thought it was too close to the bone ; they got rid of some of the old duffers from the 60's /70's and tried to be more trendy than thou.
There's a series called "Cr** Towns from The Idler Website Magazine which were best sellers , if anyone can get them cheap in those discount places you can have a laugh at all the droll pithy comments .
