I hear what you're saying SP but surely we shouldn't be "Losing" a Benefit because we're gaining another Benefit .... The SWW?
We no longer work a 40 hour week but we still receive the same Gross Pay. That was the idea of the SWW.
In Deliveries we'll probably be losing another 12 minutes a day ..... again, despite the cries of "Take an Hour off Saturday"
If they try to do that we'll need to look at it as we're already working Longs and Shorts, so some Duties may already be less than the 7 hours on a particular day.
It'll be harder to implement in Deliveries because if, for example their Duty is less than 7 hours, on a busy day they'll go over and therefore qualify for extra Meal Relief.... Which they won't bother claiming because they like working for Free!

And then how many will jump at the chance to leave early if the DOM offers this provided they make up their time on another day. Alternatively they will find something for you to do such as cleaning vans inside and out.

Out of interest do you find yourself finishing early on many occasions? I can honestly say sometimes I finish on time, very rarely, but never manage to finish early.

We've previously had a situation where the DOM was saying we had a high proportion of Older Posties, and he thought the Youngsters could do the Duties quicker!
Several months later he had to eat his words when several of these Youngsters had been off sick, for months,with injuries incurred on duty!
As one of the Oldies said, "I've been in this job for over 20 years and never had that much time off". This jobs more a Marathon than a Sprint.
