And less than five and a half weeks to go before spring starts and less than six and a half weeks to go before daylight savings time kicks off.

Man, doesn't the time fly? :nervous

s**t, like every day at the moment.
Moved off my round, which was part failed as a result. I did it’s collections, sds and post office. Then did the round I was moved to, plus double lapsing, which has another post office on, so bulked out and had to return to depot.
Tomorrow no doubt I will be moved back to my round to clear up the mess. Just like Monday’s volume, when I had three days backlog to clear up.
Manager at his wits end, in an office of 35, we have four vacancies and five long term sick, one out on loan as manager and one light duties with knackered knee. Have been told there is no recruitment until new financial year. :arrrghhh

Today I had something I had never seen before - parliamentary mail that wasn't to be 739d in the event of non delivery but I was to open it and put the contents through the letterbox if necessary.
I can now imagine them complaining that important mail was being tampered with.

Weather was a bit cloudy today. But more of that white sh*t is expected to hit the UK again in the coming days.

Just look at the weather on the BBC site, no sign of snow there.

So, the USPS has awarded their Next Generation Delivery Vehicle contract to Oshkosh Defense.

In the next couple of years, our colleagues across the pond will finally get air conditioning, better heating, airbags... :Applause

I'm going to guess that it was sucked up by a vacuum cleaner in a Royal Mail sorting office before being discovered in the trash.

This guy pretended to be a Royal Mail delivery driver for twenty-four hours, giving away free Cadbury chocolate bars that supposedly contained raffle tickets:

On the way home from work today I was involved in quite a heated road rage incident, punches where thrown, I was in my own car but wearing my RM uniform, should I mention it to my DOM/Manger in the morning?

12 bundles of mail. 20 packets. Finished by 12.30. I was one of the last back.

I'm beginning to see more familiar RM Chat names over on the Royal Mail subreddit forum these days. Are we migrating to there now? :angel :whistle
Whatever you do DO NOT post our link on there, the amout of customers is unreal! How fick are the public.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Not sure what these other forums are but it certainly looks like Customers are contacting RMC in preference to Royal Mail Customer Services. I reckon you should ask RM for a percentage for doing their job for them. :thumbup

Some of those Customers questions just have far too much information. Half of them are trying to track a parcel from half way round the world FFS! :cuppa
