Partnership share matching scheme December?

Post by wallop »

If you'd sold this years shares at that price and paid the tax and ni you'd have got £1057.66
Paying tax and ni on the invested amount you'd have cleared £815.75 over the year.
So you could have profited by £241.92
Thats 29.5% profit over what you'd have got through your wages.

Hawkey99,
£100 gross/monthly = £68 net,minimum 5 year holding to take advantage of the N.I./Tax deductions.

Today's share price of £2.86 shows every month since the beginning of the scheme in Oct. 2018 to be in profit @ £68 net/monthly.

Please remember minimum 5 year holding to take advantage of the N.I./Tax deductions.

Unless you're a 'good' or 'tax exempt leaver', which is if you leave RM via ill heath retirement, redundancy or are aged 60+.

Today's share price = £3.30 as I type this.

The very first month of the scheme,15/10/2018,27 shares were purchased @ 341.511p.

Cost then was £92.21,value today is £88.85.

Every other month is showing a clear profit.

Sorry I know I'm being lazy and could look it up but how long do we have to hold our P&M shares before we can sell them tax free?

The same rules apply as to the free shares, they're not 100% tax free until you've owned each batch for 5 years. Unless you're a good leaver.
