Hi all,
I put in an order for a specialist keyboard (No batteries or anything like that) from the USA which was shipped with the following information in November. It's since been stuck at Heathrow Airport since the 8th of December (Or apparently stuck here, I've heard conflicting information about how customs works). I've refrained from posting here because I wanted to give it some time to clear, but it's now had 45 days in transit.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do, or what could be going on? Royal mail haven't yet received the parcel on their end and I can't get through to Heathrow airport to confirm its location.

It's in customs, but has been there way too long. You need to claim from the seller.

Being a USPS item they usually scan before sending it into Customs. It should be out of there now. As Snaggletooth says its best to claim from the sender, they then can claim from USPS (who will probably get customs to investigate it).Departed. Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on December 8, 2020 at 10:27 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Thanks it isn’t showing any delays in my area could it be delays at Heathrow?

Yes, there are delays at Heathrow, unofficially, mainly in Customs.

Update!
Item has now been registered and immediately released from Langley, and the tracker has updated to show this.
So no delivery yet, but that's a delay of 47 days total in transit before being released from customs (Or about 39 days total since it reached the UK with the USPS tracker at Heathrow Airport on the 8th of December).
We'll see how long it takes to get here, now it's outside of customs - But I thought I'd let everyone know roughly what the delay is incase anyone wants another Langley example for comparison.

Yours didn’t make it into Langley mines has and hasn’t update but good to hear you got yours I think yours would of been stuck at customs because I’m sure they go to customs before Langley I ain’t got a clue what mines is doing tbh
