Return to sender

Post by DJC »

Hello, there,
Could anyone give me an idea of how long "return to sender" packages are taking at the moment?
I sent a package which unfortunately was tracked as refused, although the recipient disputed this. Tracking is showing that it is in the national Returns Centre (Belfast? ) dated 10.12.2020. There is nothing of great monetary value in the package but there is a cross stich I made for my first grandchild and would really like it to be returned to me. I understand things are taking a lot longer with present circumstances but reading on the website that items are only kept for 18 days it concerns me that I may not get it back.
Is there anything I can do or is it just a matter of wait and see.
Thank you to all you posties out there for the job you do, our regular postie is a lovely polite guy.
Thanks.
