In normal times it should be sent direct to Germany.

It should be noted that, when an item passes through a third country like this, the tracking often doesn't work on the second leg of the journey.

I am quite worried as it appears to have been handed to a delivery partner, but the partner seems to be NZ post? Could my letter be headed to New Zealand??

Tracking number is RN678882145GB

Edit: it contains a microSD card and a SIM card, if that is of any significance. Neither should be a problem. I have actually been expecting it since March 19th but it was already returned to the UK once about ten days ago (luckily not lost) due to a mistake on the address by the sender.

Fingers crossed it wil arrive in Germany in one or two days, someone has probably linked NZ by accident

I sent a package from the UK to Sweden a couple of weeks back and it took about 10 days although it only took a day or so to get to Sweden after it left the UK

You may want to keep an eye on this link as well, good luck

Tracking just updated, turns out my letter is now really in Auckland, NZ! I can't believe my luck...

Does anyone know if it will be sent back to the UK or directly to Germany?

Daft question I know but have you contacted the seller to ask if they gave you the correct tracking number?

Same again if it is your parcel lets hope that you wont have to wait to long

I have been waiting almost two months for a parcel to arrive here in the UK that was sent from the USA on the 2nd of April, I think that it is in no-mans land here in the UK before it enters Customs

Same boat and your appears to have passed through LA, same as mine. Mine went through on the 13th May and I've heard nothing since, no updates. On royal mail tracking end I've got Item leaving overseas then worryingly "sender preparing item" twice on the 21st May, which makes no sense. I'm hoping that they're just not scanning international packages and it will just arrive at some point.

It would be nice if they were just honest and said that they were short of workers and that we have your items and we will get to them the first chance that we have

The problem is that in normal times a parcel can be stuck in no mans land for a month before it enters customs and without a tracking update we just have to put up with the delay

It wouldn't harm to update the tracking and just say we have your item in a holding pen on a pallet

Certainly correct tracking number, it was mailed by a friend back in the UK who sent me a pic of the post office receipt with the tracking number.

Guess we all just have to wait...

Good news for me at least, I have to laugh or other wise I will cry but my package is now on the move for the second time after being stuck in the USA for two months, time will tell I suppose

Hi fsxfan, apologies for resurrecting your comment nearly a month later. I know you've received your parcel but I have a similar situation and I'm getting a bit concerned. I'm waiting on an International Tracked and Signed parcel from the UK to Ireland.

I understand Royal Mail have COVID-19 related delays but the unchanged tracking status has me confused about where the parcel actually is. Royal Mail website status is "In Transit - Your item is now leaving the UK. More information will be available when it arrives in the destination country. Handed to delivery partner". This status hasn't changed since the 12:34am on 19th June. I've contacted An Post but they have no record of receiving it. Does that mean it's still in Langley or...?

I tried phoning Royal Mail but couldn't get through to an operator and I don't think their webchat is currently in operation. Just wondering did you (or anyone else reading this) get additional tracking updates to indicate parcel location aside from "Item Leaving the UK LANGLEY HWDC"? How many days in total was the parcel stuck in Langley? Any insight is appreciated.

It appears from your tracking that your parcel is stuck in Irish customs.

Thanks very much for your reply. I'd usually see a tracking update on the An Post website if something is diverted to Irish customs but their status reads "Our Item Tracking system has not recognised the number(s) that you have entered."

Would it not have been scanned by An Post when they received it and then again if diverted to Irish customs? The only difference I can think of is the item is coming from the UK in this case whereas past customs delays have been with items coming from Austraila, Japan and US.

Thanks again for your help.

Sorry we are not an official Royal Mail site so anything posted in here is not an official response. The tracking number given above isn't working.

You could try the official twitter account to see if they can help @royalmailhelp

According to RMs track and trace that's not a tracked service. But I have seen some very late international items arriving even this week so there is still a chance its caught up in the backlog.

Hi, I also have an item stuck in Langley since 7-Nov, tracking UJ701732315CN https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/UJ701732315CN Do you think I will ever receive this item, or should I cancel and re-order please? Item is a garden hose pipe, so shouldn't be any battery related concerns. I had no idea I was ordering from China when purchased (thought it was a US company). Thankfully don't need to water garden at this time of year, but have been waiting to wash the car for over two months!

That’s pants isn’t it, I had a parcel take 90 days from the USA earlier this year that sat in no-mans land before entering customs here in the UK

I ad a parcel posted in early December that was sent through DHL from Japan via HK, Germany and the Midlands in two days, Royal Mail is piss poor but they sit on there ass like British Gas all high and mighty.

No wonder they have to deliver unwanted Junk Mail to make up the wages

My local Parcel Force guy said that they employed three extra staff to cover Xmas and that probably only covers the short fall for the all year around cut backs
