Frankie Hughes, of Bignall End, raised £1,300 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
Intrepid schoolgirl Frankie Hughes walked more than eight miles to raise £1,300 in memory of her uncle.
The seven-year-old walked from the bet365 Stadium in Stoke to her grandparents' home in Bignall End on Saturday.
She was joined on the first half of the eight mile route by her 62-year-old grandad, David Hughes, with grandma, Sue, and mum, Kim, walking the second half with her.
And as well as earning Frankie her Brownies charity badge, it raised £1,300 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
The charity is close to the Hughes family after David and Sue's 28-year-old son Daniel, a fit, healthy and sporty postman, died in his sleep in 2015 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Since his death, the couple along with their daughter Kim, have worked tirelessly to raise more than £250,000 for CRY. Those funds have provided free heart screenings to more than 2,100 young adults and have potentially saved the lives of 62, who were referred for further investigation for a possible heart condition.

Now Kim's daughter, Frankie, has joined in the fund-raising efforts in memory of her Uncle Dan.
The Ravensmead Primary School pupil, of Bignall End, who is a member of Alsagers Bank Brownies, completed the challenge to earn her charity badge.
She and her grandad David set off from the football stadium at 9.45am and walked to Stoke, up Hartshill Bank, and to Sainsbury's in Newcastle.
Her 59-year-old grandma, Sue, and 35-year-old mum Kim then walked with her on the final leg along the A34 and through Chesterton to Bignall End. Villagers gathered outside The Plough pub and clapped as they arrived.

Frankie said: "I did a lot of practising for the walk. It took us four hours. I really enjoyed doing the walk. I am very grateful to everyone who has donated money. I hope to do more fund-raising for CRY in the future."
David said they have not been able to do much fund-raising for the charity this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. He added: "It has been a slow year but it has been a slow year for everybody.
"We completed the walk in four hours.
"Frankie did really well.
"We will continue raising money for CRY as long as we can."
