So when do we pull out of these talks?
We can’t go on forever
There must be a point of no return
You are losing or have lost the confidence of your members
We can see no end to these talks

You only pull out of talks if you think that is going to get you somewhere.

Otherwise all it does it means your still not got a resolution to pay or the other issues we have to resolve.

The judgement is that we have made real progress , we have two good pay deals on the table , however there remains issues unresolved which further negotiations are needed. I think we will get there but nothing is guaranteed.

Remember for Royal Mail to offer a 2 year pay deal/ SWW that is worth a few hundred million , they want to ensure that the agreement helps them fund that pay deal.

You do realise that 6 percent was based on us signing up to the following

12 thousand job losses
Accepting Royal Mail’s parcel strategy ie 300 offices
Later starts
No sick pay for the first 5 years
Allowing all new digital technology to resource to and linked to what your paid
Flexibility Clause around finishing
6 hour delivery span
Everyone on 1 in 6 attendance pattern
No appeals on conduct until dismissal
Reduction in what is negotiable

Only than did you get the pay rise.

This time there are two good pay offers on the table , the issue is the things Royal Mail want us to agree for them to fund the pay offer.

That is currently holding up an agreement at the moment. There are red lines which the union will not sign up to.
Im sorry but who are we to believe you or any of that? The comms have been so poor I don't trust it. The union have well and truly s**t the bed. Twice! You f****d up the first ballot and were too scared to use the second one.

Yep everything Martin has just listed there could have been made up on the spot. How would we know any different.
The fact they won’t release any details of this new deal speaks volumes. It’s s**t and they are thinking of ways to dress it up via their social media accounts. Perhaps they could get a big projector and put the details on Rico Backs home again. Clowns.

So what off the list of strings on the 3 year deal does RM want for the 2 year deal?

Never worked as hard in my life.
I do not feel valued by RM and I feel let down by the CWU.

Terry says thanks, his well earned 2 grand weekly pay has just hit his bank account....... he has never felt so valued.

Well at least Royal Mail put out some details. More than the union has done since March.

He’s gunna enjoy it even more now he’s about to start his month long Christmas/new year break. Bet he’s making a pre-recorded message as we speak to be released 24th December thanking us for hard work blah blah blah. We are being taken for mugs by both sides it’s really sad to see.

Martin, Terry Pullinger stated in February;
" ....A pay deal 2020 pay, which is outside of our dispute and it must stay outside of our dispute otherwise we are opening up a legal challenge there.…"

It was also described as a "standalone" pay issue for April 2020.

In August Achim Dünnwald the latest on talks with CWU
(EDIT)“This week we have started our discussions on pay, we want to get an agreement on pay and the best way to get an agreement on pay is a change deal….”

It appears a compromise has been reached in obtaining a 2 year deal instead of 1 year the CWU wanted & 3 year deal RM proposed. But it is also evident the pay deal is not a “standalone” issue now (or was never intended to be !)

Hilarious....... now tell us what RMs demanding for the 2 year pay deal and how much the 2 year pay deal is in percentage terms..... excluding the SWW.

Martin reading some of the local union pages and other various pages on Facebook they seem to be saying don’t expect a deal until the new year. You are also quoted on these posts. Is this a new quote you have made today, also where are Terry and Dave please?. They were all over all platforms at the end of last year/beginning of this year and now nothing. The members are being put through the mill on a daily basis and it would be the decent thing to do for them to communicate with them.

Woah woah woah steady there your asking for specifics. Those details are only for the big guns in the secret meetings, us plebs wouldn’t understand the figures anyway.
