FAO Martin Walsh / Dingo
Marton Walsh plz plz plz give us some more info. You are of course in the know.
More detail around 2 year the pay offer?
What are the current stumbling blocks (if you are so close)?
Anything on the SWW?
What concessions have cwu had to get the deal? I understand as always to reach compromise something has to be given up from cwu demands and I totally get this!
craving information especially when TP said we would reach an interim agreement by 31st July, it is nearly 5 months over due!!!! with a big information vacume.
I am sorry not a criticism I am sure union are doing the best they can but the lack of information coming out from official cwu channels is astonishing, especially when considering they promised an interim agreement by end of July!
What is the likelihood now of getting back pay in time for xmas?
We have to be pragmatic it is in the unions best interests to secure a sustainable future for Royal Mail, as it is in turn the employees benefit with secure jobs in a successful company as well as increasing our employee shares value and returns in form of dividend payouts,

Oh and by the way, thank you so far for keeping the membership informed as best you can. It is a dam sight more info the membership are getting than from official cwu channels including local area reps who seem to be less informed than me!

Re: FAO Martin Walsh / Dingo
It would not be right for me to reveal the details of the talks as they are at a crucial stage.
However I can say that the talks are about agreeing guiding principles some of which will need further detail and agreement.
This potential covers a magnitude of issues ranging from : pay , shorter working week , job security, MTSF , parcel growth now in the future including 24/7 operation , The New Parcel Hubs, legal guarantees, 4 pillars , productivity and efficiency, revisions/ frequency , scan in scan out and what it can and can’t be used for , new trial process , Dispute resolution process , culture , resource scheduler, USO debate ,
So you can see it covers a range of Issues and out of each of those principles there a myriad of sub sections for example delivery revisions , you have the model week , The new FMO process , new revision process .
I won’t go into further detail until of any of the above but negotiations are not only about agreeing issues but also agreeing a form of words which both sides are happy with.

Re: FAO Martin Walsh / Dingo
This is getting really silly now. Guiding principles? So your telling us when this deal is revealed in the next couple of weeks then some or most of it is yet to be fully agreed on all the details? How has this taken all year I really don’t understand.

Cheers for that, sounds like theres too much to get sorted by the end of the year Martin, wish they’d just say so instead of getting our hopes up there’s gonna be some communication then saying they’re not quite there yet, even if Terry give us 5 minutes of basic info would be better than nowt.

Re: FAO Martin Walsh / Dingo
Like I said we are in the home straight , lot of issues resolved some others still to be resolved.
In terms of Toonshola do you really think you can do the detail of some of these issues in 2 or 3 months ? On a 24/7 parcel operation it needs careful planning.
Revisions lots of work is being done but what is the target , what is the model week etc still needs to be agreed.
The USO how can you agree that now ?

Martin, and then to follow on from that, "lots of issues resolved" you say what then has been resolved? and what are you happy with?
And also you say "others still to be resolved" what are the issues still not resolved?
Thanks!

Re: FAO Martin Walsh / Dingo
Just shows what a baffoon terry is if coming out on social media all serious looking as he does saying that the deal will be done by the end of this week when there are shed loads of work still to be done to get an agreement no wonder this has gone on so long.
