The area I live in has largely avoided the worst of the epidemic, but there is now an alarming increase in cases, just over the last 2 weeks. Not really a surprise, as we seemed to miss it, people were stupidly ignoring social distancing and masks.

Given the rise in cases in our area, then perhaps we should be in a higher tier!

Our area numbers on the way down, local MP's angered as to why we're being placed in tier two.

I don't see a point in the tiered system. I'd rather the government just be blunt and say, we have set the rules, we have told you how to keep everyone safe, etc. If you want to go out and enjoy your freedom then just go out and do it. But don't complain to us when the infections go through the roof, our hospitals collapse and your loved ones die because you wanted to go get drunk with all your friends and families, ignoring all rules.

With the Xmas relaxation of the rules, I reckon we'll be in another national lockdown in the new year

Doesn't matter if its a national lockdown, everyone seems to be out anyway. I mean I went to the park to cycle with my son 2 weeks ago. There were groups of more than 4 walking together and obviously from different households. No one cares really until actually someone they know gets covid, then they feel the need to tell everyone to care when its too late. Its all just ignorance until then or the fact it isn't real.

Basically the virus will propagate that is it's soul function to live even if it is dead ie inactive before cellule reproduction. Thing is people are now weary of lockdowns they the government should have had a proper test and trace system with all the money they threw at it and Dido didly s**t did nothing sorry but this is important. And they did not pay people who are in self employed gig economy jobs to self isolate and then opened the schools without test and trace working. Not only that but they failed to help the parts of the economy who were hit by the secondary actions of a lockdown ie suppliers and other entities. And now we have BREXIT oh I am sure some will profit mightily from it like the PPE contracts and the ferries of last year on stand by which were not used and cost 100 million pounds. Just don't ask me to go to 10 downing street for one over done turkey of a deal being stuffed by BORIS!
