Out the door!

Post by fly-catchers »

Now a free man!
Today was the heaviest Saturday I have had in 32 years and that's saying something! And even them I had to leave loads behind. Just a card (nothing in it!) and shown the door by the DIM with a goodbye! Never ever expect anything for your loyalty or hard work from RM!

Now to see how the pension supplement and tax adjustments work out.

Only the customers (not all) and most (not all) of my colleagues made the job worthwhile. The management at local, area, regional level were crap and bullies and clueless! A sinking ship kept afloat only by the goodwill of its over worked staff at the sharp end!

Now for a rest... :nana

I didn't finish my last shift. I went in to hand in my badge, pass, locker keys and uniform. Said goodbye to colleagues and left. So well done for being conscientious even if it wasn't appreciated by DOM.
Enjoy your retirement!

Good luck with your retirement! :nana

I saw your recent thread on MSE, which raised an important issue of managing your money in retirement, and the fact you spend years saving and then need to change your mindset when those weekly payslips stop and you have to think about your budgeting differently.
Something that many people tend to forget. :thumbup

Well done on 43 years! Just going to say, I wont be working for RM that long. I'll be too knackered by then.
