Total service on RMSPS statement

Post by fly-catchers »

I started receiving my NRA 60 pension from January 2018. It consists of just under 30 years service to 2008. A transferred in pension from another employer which gave me just over 2 years and I brought just over 8 years in the Added years AVC. Total of 40 years in all. On the RMSPS statement it lists 32 years and 153 days of total service. And on the RMPP statement it just lists 6 CSDB blocks. I am assuming that the missing part is the rest of the Added Years which were purchased after 2012 until it completed in 2018. Where there is a section for that but nothing listed. As the Added Years are all Final salary I am surprised they are now spilt between RMSPS & RMPP! Overall the amount shown on both statements for the NRA 65 work out as I would expect so not too concerned.

I am still working at RM but do receive a part of my Section C supplement based on the transferred in pension. I intend to leave RM in late November/early December so assume all my NRA 60 supplement would come from the RMSPS. Have just sent them an e-mail to find out whether RM inform directly I have left the business or whether I should let them know. Apart from being shown once in an early letter prior to receiving my NRA 60 pension there has no mention of its current value. Only the current value of the NRA65 supplement. Hope they get their figures right!
