Replace the first bit of the last word with something else..... I'll leave it to your imagination but it starts with 'D' .clashcityrocker wrote:Absolutely nothing that happens in a delivery office is down to the DOM.SpacePhoenix wrote:
Yep, the DO that covers where I live does. It must be down to the DOMs as to if your DO gets any

Don't you just love it when the HCT overweights/oversize driver is on the early shift, you're on the late shift on a HCT duty on a seriously heavy day, yet they don't match up parcels that went straight to their oversize york with parcels that went to your frame?
The procedure for dealing with parcels for HCT duties has been problematic for years, but Covid and the parcel boom has brought this to a head, especially now so few HCT duties have bag drops these days... Even Mk2 HCTs have a finite capacity, they are not tardises!

Dont you have a designated driver to do drop bags for HCT and take any parcels that are too large or specials you cant reach in time?

Absolutely hammered today, more parcels than Xmas time and loads of mail too. Came back to 5 d2ds on the frame for next week to top things off.

Packets at the usual high level today but mail was through the roof too. Distancing on ips helped us fail 3 Yorks of post, so that will be fun on Monday. Walked back from the duty 15 minutes before finish time and loads had already gone home - the failed mail wasn't touched, so another failure coming on Monday.

What a sad man he don't look like he's had a f*** in years probably cannot find it. If he stopped swearing all the time he might get a response Tourette syndrome is a blight on himself and the people who have to put up with him but that's life!PostmanBitesDog wrote:Does anybody want to add a YouTube comment to this poor sucker's whiney, miserable clip uploaded today?

Another thing I have noticed in the last 3 or 4 day is there seems to be less people at home and more people out and about than before the latest lockdown was announced. Anyone else finding this?

Yeah I get that I would be the same, who even knows what the rules are now and I would guess for a lot who even cares at this stage. That doesn’t help me with your parcels though grrrrrk979aaa wrote:Perhaps they are bored by the four walls of a prison called home.

Right then,
I'm a bit annoyed with myself for forgetting to do something today.
There I was, heading towards some apartments located one flight up an outside staircase, and lo and behold I pass a 20p coin on the pavement. I said to myself, when I come back down the staircase after I deliver some letters to the apartments I'll pick up that coin and pop it into my pocket. Could bring me good luck!
So, I slip the mail in the letter slots and head down the staircase. And I carry on up the street delivering the rest of today's mail. And I head back to the office. And I sign out for the day. And I go home.
And I f***ing forgot to pick up that 20p coin!
