This is a well used union tactic , get all the bad news out there , then the deal they do reach doesn’t look half as bad and we accept it gladly. They’ve done this before every previous deal .

Heard the same , taken from a Reps meeting with someone on the NEC. Sure London will leak it soon. Especially the 2 option pay deals , don't get too excited they're both below 2% with only £100 difference in the lump sums and more strings than a puppet theater.

If they get away with just consulting the CWU you’ll need the union more than you can imagine. Please don’t lose sight of the fact that these are company proposals not the union, the reason why the talks are dragging on is because Terry and co are telling them it’s not on and fighting our corner. To quit the union you are playing right into the management’s hands , that’s exactly what they want so please let’s start being positive and prepare for the inevitable fight.
