Been doing a round for a week and got moved to cover a different round just for today. No biggie, that's the life of a floater.

Boss: would you mind taking lapse today? Nobody's taken it since monday.
Me: Yeah, shouldn't be a problem, I need the O/T.

Get through round, onto the lapse. Find out the lapse not being taken for a few days isn't the problem. The dickhead prepping the frame is the problem, he's just been chucking post at the frame regardless of where it's addressed for. This was a problem during the main walk today, as well, but to a lesser extent. I let is slide.

When I got to the lapse, a few misorts in the first bundle. A little miffed but whatever. Second bundle, nearly all missorts, interspersed with multiple of the same d2d for the same drop point. Banded it back up and took the rest back to the office. f**k that. If people think I'm gonna do their prepping for them while I'm also trying to post it, they can do it themselves.

Well, so much for World Post Day yesterday. Typical ignorant Brits, always turning your back on the world. :evil/mad

United Nations World Post Day (9 October, 2020)
World Post Day is celebrated each year on 9 October, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern. It was declared World Post Day by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan in 1969. Since then, countries across the world participate annually in the celebrations. The Posts in many countries use the event to introduce or promote new postal products and services.
The Useless Kingdom joined the Universal Postal Union on July 1st, 1875.

I'm going to bed. Goodnight, you bastards. :thumbup

Are those boots real? They are really ugly in design.

I know, right? Really gross to look at.

On the plus side, because those boots have "Special Delivery" printed all over them, they can only be worn until 1:00pm.

Not helped as we had to watch a video about collections which then turned into a heated debate about van sharing. Got out at 930 then they asked why the lapse was getting left behind  .
Got out at 9.30. blimey that's an early get out time for us. Sometimes it's 10.30 after the 20 min indoor break.

Almost no mail today. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Finished way too early.

Oh well, might as well make use of what's left of the daylight hours considering Daylight Savings Time ends next weekend. :nervous

Oh no, he's back again, guys. UK MEET THE TYRANTS is off his flippin' rocker. (Unfortunately he's disabled his Comments section for this clip. )

Today was absolutely f***ing mental. Christmas is gonna be unbelievable. How much is it gonna take for everyone to just say "f**k this" and refuse to work? Everyone has their breaking point and there's not much Royal Mail can do, we live in a horrible consumer culture and people are too far removed from the process of them getting their cheap plastic s**t for them to stop buying. Click, consume, repeat. Like f***ing locusts.
