But they don't do they as most people cannot use them all day or communicate with them on they don't work in the wet they are strewn all over the environment offices and in vans for someone else to clean up. So in short they do not work as you say they do if they did we would not be talking about this now or further lockdowns so they do not work it was just a ploy to get those who were scared of dying back on the high street and in shops as Covid brain Boris was ambushed into it. For the sake of the environment ditch the mask's, Fed up with seeing people touching the mask's and touching something else like food or hand rails might just as well spit on it and have done with it!twiddledumb wrote:A face covering is about stopping an infected person spreading the virus. Masks offer protection from viruses. You don't have to wear them all day but just when you're when there are many people about, like in shops.
Its just using some common sense which unfortunately some people don't have.

The simplistic statement that "masks don't work" doesn't hold up to any scrutiny.
Any barrier between an infected person and an uninfected person whether it's distance, a plastic shield or a mask will make the spread of that disease more difficult.
The argument that people don't use them properly doesn't stack up either, putting a condom on your head won't do much to stop pregnancy but it doesn't mean the condom doesn't work properly, it means you don't.
All this conspiracy theory bullshit and using big scientific words copied from Wiki doesn't make people look clever, people are still dying and just because they're older people doesn't mean they deserve to die coughing up a lung just because some smartass has been watching nutbag videos on YouTube.
This is a genuine disease with real victims and the sooner people stop playing keyboard scientist and let the real scientists get on with it the sooner we'll get through it. We are relatively lucky in the UK, we have a decent and free health service and a welfare state that means the vast majority of us won't starve, rather than moan about having to wear a mask and the pubs being shut and wasting time watching David Ike perhaps there's something more positive you could find to do, maybe find someone in a more precarious situation than you and try to help them.

If the inventor of the test being used was still alive the test wouldn’t be being used for this.

Face coverings in workplace communal areas mandatory in Scotland from monday.
Mandatory from tomorrow in canteens unless seated at a table, also when going to a bathroom.

Oh yeah seen that but we don't have any communal workplaces in Royal Mail do we but if we did how would anyone get any work done with a mask on? Anyway it's great coming from Nicola big fish with her pontificating everyday at 12:00 the Co2 emissions go through the roof everyday at that time as everyone has a cuppa has everywhere that had a decent pint has long since closed down possibly for good. And who said puritanism was dead well you can bugger off on a train to London spread thy love around the houses of parliament with a crap speech of love of Covid 19 and depart bugger off back to Scotland infect your fellow puritans and normal scots the ones we quite like and get a £4000 pay rise and refuse to do anything about it Sturgeon!ripio wrote:Face coverings in workplace communal areas mandatory in Scotland from monday.

The whole of a delivery office is a communal area with the possible exception of manager's office, and the caller's office/phg.k979aaa wrote:Oh yeah seen that but we don't have any communal workplaces in Royal Mail do we but if we did how would anyone get any work done with a mask on? Nicola Sturgeon has no power to sack the MP in question but has said she should resign, the SNP whip has been withdrawn from her which means she no longer represents the party and is thus now an independent MP.

It's not a dodge it's an attempt not to get into a pointless tinfoil hat conversation about what a dead person thinks about a situation that they were never aware of.LaggyBand wrote:Interesting dodge.Woody Guthrie wrote:Unless you've brought him back to life to ask his opinion I don't have a take on it.LaggyBand wrote:If the inventor of the test being used was still alive the test wouldn’t be being used for this.

All you can do is guess, don't pretend to know any more than that.
It's extremely disrespectful.

If mask's do work why are most of the casualties are hospital staff or patients who were released into care homes being that they would have had the PPE and why do the WHO insist on waring mask's when it is known it is a vector for the virus by mask to hand to object person transmission?

Masks don't stop you from catching it, they're to stop you spreading it if you've got covidk979aaa wrote:If mask's do work why are most of the casualties are hospital staff or patients who were released into care homes being that they would have had the PPE and why do the WHO insist on waring mask's when it is known it is a vector for the virus by mask to hand to object person transmission?

Well It did not work in hospitals or care home's why in all your presumption it will prevent you spreading it in the context of two in a van or a shop?SpacePhoenix wrote:Masks don't stop you from catching it, they're to stop you spreading it if you've got covidk979aaa wrote:If mask's do work why are most of the casualties are hospital staff or patients who were released into care homes being that they would have had the PPE and why do the WHO insist on waring mask's when it is known it is a vector for the virus by mask to hand to object person transmission?
