Applying for early payment of benefits -Update 3!!

Well......it was all going so well........

Applied as advised and received estimated benefit statement with just one call to chase up.
Sent back forms promptly.

Waited for payment / advice of payment date. (turned 55 on 4th September)

End of August received acknowledgement slip that they had received my completed forms.

16th September phoned them up asking what was going on. Advised slight delay sending out finalized figures but they would be sent to me along with the date I would receive my lump sum and benefit payment

Still heard nothing so rang again today to be told they are waiting for my AVCs to be dis-invested before they can finalize figures and advise me of my payment date. Apparently they requested my avc closure on 10th September and this takes up to six weeks to happen.
Being told different things each time.
I was polite though because I don't want to be pushed to the back of the queue for being awkward!!!!
I was concerned that if this takes another few months I would not be back paid my pension to the 4th September and instead get a couple of quid added to my pension for the rest of my life but apparently they will backdate payment.

Frustrating but I live in hope...

I have got all this to come next year as I would like to claim my pension at 55 (July) perhaps I will start the ball rolling January 2021 !

You may want to look at my thread. A diary of applying slightly early for NRA60 and five years early for NRA 65.
I have had my final figures and am now awaiting payment. I applied in June for Nov. Although I should have applied in July.
