Could I be saving time? Advice please.

Hi there,

I've recently run a project to send large letters containing a couple of samples to 800 or so individuals around the globe. I used postage stamps, airmail stickers and CN22 labels to Zone's 1 and 2. The process was to do a mail merge from a csv file into Word and print the address labels on an inkjet printer, 14 labels per A4 sheet. I also managed to tear up the new CN22 labels (Jan 2020 ones) and fed them in batches of ten through the inkjet printer. It worked pretty well with around a 10% rate of the CN22 print jobs being slightly misaligned. Still, it beat an ink stamp or writing the labels out, hands down.

My question is, could I have saved time using the Click and drop process? I could and may invest in a thermal label printer, I gather RM provide the labels for this process free of charge? Can the click and drop labels incorporate the CN22 information, the delivery address, return address and postage on one label? That would be the dream

Maybe, or Click and drop does replace all the standard labels you need for a Zone 2 envelope for example?

I was hoping to pick the brains of the RM community on this one. The Post Office staff always seem under such pressure managing the queues that it never seems an appropriate time to pose such questions. Hence the forum approach

Post Office staff aren't trained on Royal Mail's online products. It takes business away from the PO!
