There have been claims made that streets have not had post delivered for weeks
Claims that parts of Nuneaton have not received post for several weeks have been dismissed by Royal Mail bosses.
CoventryLive was made aware of rumours on social media that large parts of Stockingford had not received post - some for weeks.
It was claimed this was as a result of the local delivery office being short-staffed due to coronavirus.
But when contacted, a spokesperson for the firm said that they were not aware of any issues but said it was possible that some areas may be affected due to staff illness.
The full statement
"We are not currently aware of any delivery issues in the Nuneaton area," the spokesman said.
"We are working hard to deliver the most comprehensive service we can to all our customers in challenging circumstances.
"Despite our best endeavours, it is possible that some areas of the country may experience a reduction in service levels due to Coronavirus-related absences at their local mail centre or delivery office.
"We always endeavour to keep our customers as informed as we can of any changes to our services. We have a dedicated section on our website.”

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
