Hello! Nice to meet you all!
I'm looking for advice please. I sold an item on ebay to someone in Ireland, a valuable piece of jewellery. I posted it with Royal mail, international tracked on the 24th of August. It left the UK on the 26th of August but no more updates! Its been 11 days and I'm worried just incase the buyer thinks I never sent it. Do you think its lost?? All advice is much appreciated!

From the tracking status on RM and An Post your item has run into the same problems as other posters in this section. Its been held up by customs. The only advice is to wait till they release it.

Yep. There are border controls for goods everywhere, free movement doesn't mean that checks won't be carried out, it means that duties were removed. Checks are still carried out on random items, and people, for legal and safety compliance and criminal investigations.
