Pension Statements

As I understand it this year we are due two separate statements. Are they due in September? I assume you wont be able to establish NRA60 & 65 values easily?

They seem to be getting later every year – if I remember correctly 2019's came in October?

We will be getting two illustrations this time round, one from RMSPS and one from RMPP, as was explained in the last edition of 'pension news'. Available to view here.

Only time will tell how they'll be set out. But with so many posties seemingly finding their pensions hard to understand, if they're not in NRA60/NRA65 format, it'll be another missed opportunity to get things right.

I have registered online now so may recieve mine quicker, I'm not sure if I also recieve a snail mail letter! Just NRA60 for me, payable next May, Its a deferred pension.

A consultancy company working on behalf of the RMPP visited our MC in January this year asking what we thought of the pension information we received. One of the major complaints from most staff was that the annual statements were very confusing and in some cases contained incorrect information. One of the things we asked for was 2 separate statements so one each for the RMSPS and RMPP each splitting benefits into NRA60 and NRA65 rather than Final Salary, CSDB Blocks and Cash Balance. It looks as though they have acted on the 2 separate statements request so lets also see if they split the benefits into much easier to understand NRA60 and NRA65 figures as well.

You will receive them separately. How far apart is anybody's guess.
