HELP - Newbie Online Business Account

Post by Emzls87 »

Hello!

I think I need help!

I have now recieved all the account info. Im fully signed up and have set up the direct debit info.

I ingergrated my shopify website to my click and drop (like i did when I was a personal customer)

I have just tried creating an order, but it doesn't print the label like my personal account does. There is no proof of postage part.

Reading into it i see i have to create a manifest.

I presume this is my proof of postage?

However everything i have read says that the post needs to go into mailing bags. I havn't got any mailing bags. Can i hand over all my parcels loose to my local sorting office?

I also cannot see how much ive paid for the postage. Can you tell me where I can see this info? This is particulary helpful for international mail.

(I am sending small parcels 2nd class)
Thank you!

Hi, the manifest contains all the payments, you can make 2 copies and keep one as proof of postage (I think), the other one hand it over to the post office staff when you drop your bags. If you are dropping parcels tomorrow and have no bags, just ask the post office staff nicely to give you 1-2 bags or more (take black plastic ties and labels with you) and remember not to overweight them (maximum 11 kilograms in one bag).

You can go to your nearest Royal Mail delivery office for bags, usually they are kept outside in yorks, just take how many you need, if it`s none outside, try to ask a member of staff for some, you can also order them online on Royal Mail website (probably from your bussines account).

Hopefully a colleague with more knowledge than me will hop in with usefull advice :)
