One of the lightest days I've ever had, even with the packets my round barely took 2 hours , I had one small bundle for roads with. 130 delivery points .

Absolutely ridiculous. Never seen the mail so light.

Could almost fit a whole frame of mail in 1 or 2 bundles, no exaggeration.

Only mail there seemed to be was UKMail and our own (which is not a lot anymore), think Whistl are only entering into the network Monday/Wednesday/Friday so I would think tomorrow is going to be a busy one. You would hope the sales team are out telling the customers who they stole away that they are only getting a 3 day a week service with them.

That would explain why that last two Mondays have been so light! Let see what happens today.

Packets are like a motorway pile-up. Can't shift stuff that's been sitting there since last week because more keeps ploughing into the office. Is it Christmas Day yet?

Mega busy with parcels today + current heat wave made it unbearable to work. One of the hardest day in a long time.

This week I have 5 days of delivering 2 days worth of mail.
The Lino moans when I say I need refill dropping off. I know, it MUST be my shite packing that stops 2 days of mail and 2 days of d/d fitting into an HCT.
The driver moans that he has to drop it off and moans when I ask him to take undelivered parcels and post box collections back. Won't wait for me to unpack the bags into the HCT so I'm stuck with finding room for the bags too.
Tomorrow the f****r can bring me one bag at a time instead of all of them at once. See if that suits him better.

c***s everywhere.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - we can blame line managers, DOMs, the union, Rico and Moya, Dave and Terry and anyone else we want...but when it comes down to it we shaft each other just so we can get done quicker. Maybe offer to swap roles with the driver, you’ll do his round in the van and he can take the HCT, see how he copes with that.

Hope you have a better day and your driver enjoys dropping the bags off one by one.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It’s the one off bonus/covid19 payment.

Another warm day today, it felt hotter than yesterday although not as exhausting, maybe it’s because there was a breeze or it was a bit lighter.

The garden dwellers are on overdrive now, locking side gates etc so you can’t get anywhere near them and you end up slipping their packets.

Also had another case of the Marie Celeste, on the same street as last time it happened - I had a special, door was open, I knocked, rang bells called up the stairs, went round the back saw the back doors open, car keys on the table. Back round the front knocked again. No sign of anyone. And people wonder how criminals are able to sneak in and help themselves to wallets, phones, cars etc.
