EasyJet seeks new chair of pay committee

Budget carrier easyJet is reported to be looking for a new chair of its pay committee after incumbent Moya Greene indicated she wants to step aside.

Sky News claims to have learned that Greene has told chairman John Bolton of her intentions amid what it claims is a “frantic reshuffling” of directorships.

Greene, formerly chief executive of Royal Mail, was appointed to head up the low cost carrier’s remuneration committee last year.

Sky News said Greene is planning to remain on the easyJet board, which she joined in 2017.

Executive headhunter Lygon Group has been brought in to seek her replacement, the Sky News report said.

EasyJet is facing demands from its founder and largest shareholder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou to cancel a £4.5 billion Airbus order.

In recent weeks the carrier has lost its finance chief and two other non-executive directors including deputy chairman Charles Gurassa.

Sky News said easyJet declined to comment.
