Hi all
I seen a lot of people getting delays going through customs at the moment which is normal but mine seems to have left customs and no updates in 4 days which sounds wrong as if it cleared customs and was on its way to Jubilee MC then it should not take 4 or more days.
Anyone got any hints or seen something similar? I think it might be lost!

No. That hasn't left customs, it has entered them.

Royal Mail scan items, Customs don't' so the last scan in the UK is RM handing it over to customs. No more tracking will occur until the destination customs release it.

Destination customs?
This is from US to UK.
So it has reached UK Langley, what does it mean by left processing centre then? Should that not occur after it leaves customs and heads to Jubilee mc?

On items received today at my MC. The customs delay between the posting date and the date on the customs charges is between 10 and 18 days. You can then add about two to three days for it to arrive in your MC or Delivery office.

So the status saying it's left processing center hwdc means it's entered customs?

To be frank, its difficult to say with any certainty as you are feeding information to us in small slices.

The original posting had only the HWDC scans and the way it read, thinking you are based in the UK it looked like it was heading overseas. (Jubilee sometimes do "diverts" for HWDC IIRC)

But then you advised it was US to UK.

This is the first time I logged in since my reply. So to clarify it helps us advise you better if we have the full tracking information, or even better the tracking number.

However, as its from the US, there are 4 possibilities.

1. USPS scanned it as it came off the aircraft and entered customs and its caught in their backlog. (USPS are one of the few companies that do this)
2. It has passed through customs and is held up in the backlog at a Mail Centre.
3. Its passed through customs and there is a charge to pay, again it may be caught up in a backlog there.
4. Its passing through the system but for some reason isn't being scanned, or the system isn't accepting scans for it.

All 4 have the same outcome though, it will eventually be delivered its just that there are huge backlogs throughout the whole system.

It looks to me like there is a problem with this item. This doesn’t necessarily mean that it is lost, there is a whole range of things that could have happened. I would raise a complaint with RM customer services.

It will take a while for it to appear on the website, probably just means it's not processed properly yet.

It's weird that is. I've paid a custom fee like really early in the morning, say Monday morning at 7.30 am and the earliest RM could deliver was Wednesday?? Why is this? A few years back it always used to be next day, as in Tuesday. Even our postie at work is baffled by this and sometimes he actually makes another trip just for me to get me the item even though I tell him not to bother. Always came next day when I paid the fee using the Frankie machine at work too, but not any more.
