The graffiti-covered Royal Mail train left abandoned in a North Yorkshire field
Ashley Addison, who searches abandoned locations as a hobby, had a look around the train carriages that have sat unused for nearly 20 years
Bethanie Louise, 24, and her boyfriend Ashley Addison are both part of a UK-wide community of urban explorers who visit sites like the one in Hellifield.
An urban explorer has shared some fascinating pictures of a set of neglected trains that have sat dormant in a North Yorkshire field for nearly 20 years.
Ashley Addison had a look around the old Royal Mail parcel trains and their carriages that have been sat in a field near Hellifield, North Yorkshire, since 2002.
Mr Addison, who looked around the carriages and trains with his girlfriend Bethanie Louise, said: "It was amazing. I've wanted to see it for a while now.
"We've seen it online posted by other explorers but it's always a different feeling have a look around yourself. It'd been beaten up a bit which was a shame"
Mr Addison, 26, is part of an urban exploring community that searches out around abandoned homes, buildings, factories and artefacts before documenting them online with pictures and videos.
"It's quite a close-knit group. You have to gain their trust.
"Everyone has a respect for the history of the spots. There are some great spots tucked away in Yorkshire."
Mr Addison, who is based in Mansfield but looks around buildings across the country, also runs a YouTube channel where he posts videos of the abandoned places, which you can view here.

I remember the mail trains where there was a crew who did sorting as it was in transit.
Back before emails I guess. Sad to see this train in that state.

The train shown would have just carried yorks of mail between the rail hubs. The trains you're thinking of are the Travelling Post Office or TPO trainsMunchboii wrote:I remember the mail trains where there was a crew who did sorting as it was in transit.
