My MPU lost their machine work at the end of March. Since then the service and quality has been hit and miss. Yes, this virus has had an effect, but it seems that letters have been relegated below third rate Importance.

MPU's closed down.
Less CSS machines.
More batches needed due to delivery walk growth.
Wave 2 now only walksorted due to lack of time.
Apart from that no real changes. :left:

I believe CSS machines are now classed as obsolete, they cost more to maintain than they are worth and will therefore be phased out.

If they were to be phased out then the mech would also be phased out as we wouldn't have the capacity to walk sort on our iLSMs alone, just down to batch level. DOs would end up getting boxes of trays of mail that would be for between 10 and 20 walks, so they may as well just send it all manual at that point

yeah lost a lot off css for many offices in north west
